Event Description :

Lake District Kayaking
Kayaking uses boats originally designed by Eskimos for travelling on the sea. The Mobile Adventure fleet of kayak provides you with the perfect way to enjoy a few hours on Derwent Water, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Lake District national park. Mobile Adventures' kayak sessions allow you to see the national park from another angle where the size and grandeur of the mountains is given a whole new perspective, and the peace and quiet of the surroundings can be truly appreciated.

There is much to enjoy about the sport of kayaking making it ideal for the complete beginner out for some fun or more experienced paddlers looking to improve their skills. Not only is kayaking excellent exercise, but the beauty of kayaking on Derwent Water or down any river is hard to beat. Mobile Adventure have a wide range of kayak courses ideal for individual paddlers or groups of friends and family looking to have fun in a truly stunning environment.

Please note, if you are more than 15 stone or taller than 6foot, we strongly recommend canoeing as being more suitable for you.

Lake District Canoeing
Canoeing is one of Keswicks most popular activities and with Mobile Adventure you can guarantee your canoeing will be 'splash-tastic'! The beauty of canoeing, also known as open boating, is the ability to effotlessly travel with all your supplies in one vessel making canoeing great for both adventure and fun!

For beginners Derwent Water or Thirlmere provide the perfect introduction to this sedate form of transport. When seen from your canoe in the middle of the Lake, the size and grandeur of the mountains is put in a whole new perspective, and the peace and quiet of the surroundings can be truly appreciated. Canoeing can indeed truly take your breath away.

If you've already got experience of canoeing then why not join us on a bigger challenge - either a one day white water trip or join us on a majestic 3 day trip down the River Tweed. This is an entirely self-sufficient river journey, with riverside camps for the nights, and all food cooked and prepared as necessary - go on, challenge yourself today!
